Vincent Swift Photography specializes in a classic style of photography with a modern flare, we love what we do and have the passion to match.
Weddings are covered by at least 2 photographers and no element of your special day is overlooked. The day would start at the groom’s house where we cover the guys doing what guys do, and getting ready to go to the ceremony. The rings are photographed along with the groom and his parents and any other family or friends that are there.
Then it’s on to the Brides house, I ask all my Brides and her bridesmaids to have their dress on but no veil or jewelry. This forms part of the detail captured along with the dress, shoes, ear rings & perfume. After all the bridesmaids and family photos have been taken, it’s off to the ceremony.
Having 2 photographers really pays off at the ceremony, when one of us is concentrating on the bride and groom the other will be focusing on the parents and capturing candid images of what is happening around them.
After the service candid shots of the congratulations will be taken from a distance so that as much natural emotion is captured. Family photos next, this can take some time, you see uncle George hasn’t seen uncle Bob since Aunt Laura’s funeral, they aren’t really paying any attention to the photographer or what’s going on around them, it’s important at this time that someone is nominated from each side of the family that can find the people that need to be photographed.
Once all the family and friends have been covered it’s off to the location of the private shoot, this is the best time to take pictures of people, this is why I love weddings, people are all dressed up, in love, and in a fantastic location, what is there not to love about that.
The reception coverage can range from the basic mock cake cutting and first dance to full reception coverage including table shots, bouquet toss, first dance, speeches and cake cutting.
We also can do a slide show presentation, you will be escorted from the bridal table and sat in front of a screen, then a approximately 6 minute slide show presentation set to music will be projected onto a screen for you and all your guests to see.
This has a very powerful effect on the people that don’t know it’s going to happen. After the standing ovation you will be presented with 2 copies of the slide show on DVD to hand to your parents. It will be a wedding highlight that you will want captured too, lucky I will still be there.
